Results from the Texas ATA/TMTA Regional Truck Driving Championship held
on May 6, 2012
We are pleased to announce that Coastal Transport Co. Inc. driver, Victor
Perez of Brownsville, Texas placed second in the "Tanker" class regional
competition. Victor, as well as approximately 125 other drivers competed in
eight vehicle class events. The goal was to identify the top two drivers in each
vehicle class. Victor was evaluated on job knowledge, pre-trip inspection
accuracy and driving skills. Congratulations on a great job, Victor! Victor now
moves on to the State Final Competition to be held at College Station in June.
Also participating in the “Tanker Class” were drivers, Zenaido Becerra Jr.
(Brownsville), George Garcia (Brownsville), John Huffman (El Paso), and Juan
Rios (San Antonio).
